“They Cook And Draw” Illustration. Sweet Pumpkin Bread Loaves.

Heck yeah! The two things I love the most, drawing and cooking.

When I heard about the people over at TheyDrawAndCook.com/ my cravings got all worked up about their idea.

Not to mention, they were having a cook book submission contest. The deadline was only 2 days away, and a deadline for art is always good for my finishing skills!

So, I did what anyone would do, and chose the best thing in my arsenal of goodies, Ruth’s yummy pumpkin bread recipe. They are the perfect combination of a classic, family favorite recipe (worth passing down/around) and a good opportunity to use orange paint… all while I work under the falling leaves in New England in early October!

Then, all I had to do with this hand-me-down, pumpkin bread recipe was to put it into visual splendor. So, I got out the pans, the sugar and my sketchbook… starting with a quick, hot, batch of these beauties, for inspiration of course.
